MY CRITICAL RESEARCH JOURNAL
This blog is being made as part of an accredited education programme – MA Photography with Falmouth University.
I will be documenting my development and reflective thoughts over the course of my MA studies and research.
The MA curriculum will provide a powerful and inspirational catalyst for me in progressing my journey in photography. As well as having the opportunity to further develop my photography skills and creativity at a professional level, I am motivated by the desire to gain a deeper contextual understanding of my genre, to develop my critical thinking, reflection and articulation about contemporary photography, my own work, and that of other photographers.
The course will present many challenges, not least by taking me out of my comfort zone in so many ways. But I also know that this is what I currently need to do to successfully develop and shape both my creative and critical voice.
